If you do not know this by now, HVAC systems are a key component that actively works to keep our homes safe and comfortable all year-round. DIY-minded homeowners are often able to fix minor problems around their homes, but when it is your HVAC system that you have to deal with, you should know when you should call an HVAC technician.
Here are some of the best times you should pick up the phone and call one of our HVAC experts for help:
#01. It is time for your annual tune-up.
An annual tune-up will catch minor issues before they turn into major problems over time. Just like how a car needs regular oil changes, HVAC systems should also be inspected annually. You will see a great reduction in the cost of running your HVAC system as well as an increased lifespan for your air conditioner and furnace. Investing in annual HVAC tune-ups significantly reduces the chance of you needing to call an HVAC expert for the rest of the year.
#02. You are building an addition or buying a new house.
Just like with an annual check-up, it is a great idea to have an HVAC professional take a look at your HVAC system when you purchase a new home. You do not know the service record of your air conditioner or furnace up to this point, so having an HVAC technician make sure that everything is working efficiently is a great idea. On that note, if you are building an addition onto your home, an HVAC pro can also help you determine the best way you can expand your cooling and heating systems, so your new room or rooms are not left out in the cold.
#03. You notice cold or hot spots around your home.
We have experienced getting calls from clients complaining that there are hot or cold spots around their home because the air conditioner or furnace is underperforming or working overtime. If you happen to walk into a room and notice a temperature shift, then it can possibly be telling you that your HVAC system is not working efficiently.
#04. When something breaks.
Is your HVAC system starting to make loud noises, leaks fluids or refuses to turn off or turn on? Then it is high time you should call in one of our HVAC experts! Some homeowners are able to perform small maintenance jobs such as changing air filters, but when it is apparent that something is wrong, only an HVAC expert will be able to diagnose and repair the problem accurately the first time. Remember, doing quick fixes on a serious problem will just inflate your repair bill when you do decide to call in the pros.
This company is fantastic. Dave came out and gave me a very honest and reasonable quote, unlike a quote received from another company. I had a bunch of questions that were easily answered and when I had questions regarding heating/cooling a previously unheated room above the Garage, Dave arranged for Greg to come out for an assessment of this new space and gave me his recommendation along with his professional thoughts on all of my options.
These guys have been nothing but Professional, honest and helpful along the way. I can't recall the two other guys doing the install, but they were great as well. Good workmanship, everything was cleaned up and everything functions as promised. I could go on and on about my experience, but it's all positive so what more could you want?
Give them a call, see for yourself. If I had to buy another furnace/AC or heat pump, they'd be my first call.
I hired twin tech to convert my townhouse heating from electric to gas and install a furnace and a/c unit. I had talked with many other vendors, and received several quotes, but chose them, and very happy I did. Here are some of the reasons why:
1. They were realistic about the timeline for the work, when they could start and how long it would take. (They said upfront, it was their busy season and would need to get back to me in 3 weeks, which they did):
2. They had a quote with options for me. They were clear about the entertainment of what they would and would not do (theyd build duct work, id need another contractor to box in ductwork). This allowed me to plan as I was my own general contractor for my renovations).
3. They spoke to me in a language I understood, neither too technical nor too simple. They answered all my questions as I had them. Everyone is so lovely to work with, the sales team and the contractors who are worked in my home.
4. Its been 4 m since the work was complete. They still answer my emails and my furnace is working very well!
I unabashedly recommend! Price, customer care and quality workmanship were all amazing!
On one of the coldest days of winter, our furnace stopped working. Our regular furnace company came and told us we had a CO2 leak and shut us off. Their quote for a new furnace was way too high and they couldn't even install it on the same day. TwinTech was recommended to us by a friend. We called and spoke to Dave who was very nice and knowledgeable. Grant showed up a short time later and a new furnace was installed the same day with no troubles at all. Best of all, we received a higher-end furnace than what was offered by our previous company and at a cheaper price. I would recommend TwinTech with no hesitation at all.
I installed a new furnace and Air conditioner with them. The installation is of high quality and according to standards. The guys are professional and reasonably priced.. I highly recommend them.
Had new furnace installed and ran into some difficulties but the contractor responded in a timely and efficient manner - after further service calls were made, a reasonable resolution was found.
The work was done quickly efficiently neatly and professionally. Pleased with the service, information, product, and the company.
Great sales member named Dave came in told us some amazing items and how they would be priced installed an all. We couldnt believe it! The next day the ac was installed, that day one employee named Greg told us that our furnace was working way to hard and was causing us to use way too much gas. So two days later they came in an installed a new furnace!
Installation was done quickly and professionally. The new furnace is quiet and provides even heat.
They removed and discarded old furnace. Installed new furnace. Installed air intake pipe, that had never been installed by builder, no charge. Replaced loose hose on floor with hard pipe and rerouted it to drain, no charge. Almost 33% cheaper then quote from Enercare, which was the company we dealt with and had insurance with for 8 years. No yearly fee for cleaning/insurance, saves 300 a year. Courteous, professional, fast, and friendly. My wife and I have been recommending them to everyone we know and meet, and will continue to do so. Thanks for everything, Twintech!!!
This company was great to deal with. Our furnace went down and they installed a new furnace the next day with a lot of professionalism!
