When winter comes, your furnace is working at full capacity to keep you warm. If it starts giving you trouble though, don’t panic right away. Here are a few things you can do if your Goodman furnace is acting strange.
If It’s Noisy: There is often a simple culprit to strange furnace noises. Most commonly, a screw is loose on the blower wheel. That’s the fan that blows air all over your house and it’s attached to the blower motor shaft with a screw. If that comes loose, the whole wheel will rattle causing lots of unsettling noise. Luckily with a good tightening, this can be fixed in no time.
If It’s Not Heating: This could be an issue with the power, but if the furnace is on, then it may be the igniter. Check to see if the igniter is faulty by removing it and checking it for cracks or other faults. If you don’t see any, you can use a multimeter to check for continuity.
If It’s Stopping and Starting: If your furnace stops running within minutes of starting up, the problem could be a lack of airflow through the burner. Make sure intake vents aren’t obstructed by furniture and that there’s ample room around the furnace.
If It Won’t Stop Running: This is generally an issue where the thermostat is continually sending voltage to the blower motor. To test for this, check the thermostat with a multimeter and if it registered between (R) and (G), then it’s faulty and should be replaced.

Grant and Greg installed a heating and AC system in our new Linwood post and beam home. Post and beam can be challenging structures for running ductwork and their high ceilings and open concept frequently frustrate efforts at balancing air flow and controlling temperatures. I have used Twintech many times over the years. They always arrive quickly and get the issue fixed. The most recent incident was when my air conditioner broke last week I called Greg at 11:30am and he was at my home by 2:30pm he had the unit fixed by 3:30pm. Twintech are very reliable and honest and they are experts in the field. I have already recommended them to many of my friends. I would not use anyone but them for my heating and air conditioning issues.

I would highly recommend these guys, professional, fast and competitive pricing. I moved into this place with no working AC unit with a 8 month baby, he was able to come with in a week to fix even in the busy summer days. He really values his customers , I am already recommending to my neighbors.

Very impressed they arrive to quote even though I had forgotten to call them back to confirm date & time. They showed the day before installation to deliver the unit. Returned the next day as promised at 9am. Project was completed in a professional manner. They even fixed a few things that they noticed were not installed correctly, or to code by previous heating & air contractors we had at our residence before. Would recommend this company to everyone!

Greg removed old oil furnace and oil tank from basement relocated new Napoleon propane furnace to allow duct work to be rerouted to a much more suitable location. Moved air conditioner to the new furnace. Dave recommended two available grants to assist with cost. They kept to their original quoted price which was substantially lower than a competitors for the same furnace and work. They completed the work as stated when stated and left the area clean and tidy. We are very pleased with the outcome.
