Durham Region Air Conditioning Repair, Service and Installation
Midea air conditioners make great central AC additions to your HVAC lineup, especially during the summer months. Midea is best known for its portable, window, and through-the-wall air conditioners, as well as dehumidifiers and PTAC air conditioners. If your Midea air conditioner is giving you trouble though, there’s no reason to fret right away. Here are some tricks for troubleshooting your Heil AC.
First, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve been up to date on the maintenance of the unit. Check and replace all dirty air filters in the unit. Next, ensure there is no dirt covering and outdoor components or furniture blocking the intake of indoor components. All of the above can easily prevent airflow and create blockages or clogs in the unit.
Once you’ve done that, then check the thermostat and make sure it’s set to a cool temperature. Often an improperly set thermostat is the culprit of a hot home!
Once those have all been checked off and if it’s still not working, then you can try restarting it. First, power it off and make your way to the electrical panel. Turn off the circuit breakers that power your AC unit, wait a couple of seconds, and then turn it back on. This will then reset the AC unit, so go back to the thermostat and dial in the settings you need.
If this still doesn’t fix the issues with your Midea air conditioner, then now is the time to call your HVAC technician.

TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all! I did not need a new furnace. TwinTech did not push to make an unnecessary sale and saved me from a huge expense. Bob and Mitch were extremely professional and above all honest! I called Twin Tech when my air conditioning stopped working. Greg came over to diagnose the issue - the same day. He was able to diagnose the issue and resolve it quite quickly. Although it was a quick fix, Greg was very thorough in explaining the issue and provided great advice. Twintech Heating & Cooling installed my furnace in 2022 and in fall of 2023 installed my Panasonic Heat Pump. Greg and Mitch did a great job. Helped me through the rebate process.
