If you have a Tempstar furnace but it’s giving you some trouble, try these troubleshooting steps to get it working smoothly again.
Issues can often begin when basic furnace maintenance hasn’t been practiced in a while. A great way to start is to change your filters. Dirty filters can do long-term damage if they are left unclean because the system becomes clogged. If you have a disposable filter then replace it with the proper size and if you have a permanent one, wash it with soap and water, rinse it thoroughly and let it dry all the way before putting it back.
Another reason it might not be heating could be an issue with the thermostat. Make sure you’ve set your thermostat correctly and that the adjustable calibration scale is set up right. If it’s set correctly it could be a software issue. This is one of the most commonly overlooked areas in furnace troubleshooting but is the easiest fix! If this does work, it’s possible the thermostat will need replacing.
Lastly, make sure the furnace is getting adequate power. If it isn’t receiving any, go to your circuit board and make sure the fuses aren’t cracked or blown. If it’s blown, replace it but otherwise resetting the circuit should do the trick.

TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all! I did not need a new furnace. TwinTech did not push to make an unnecessary sale and saved me from a huge expense. Bob and Mitch were extremely professional and above all honest! I definitely recommend TwinTech!

I called Twin Tech when my air conditioning stopped working. Greg came over to diagnose the issue - the same day. He was able to diagnose the issue and resolve it quite quickly. Although it was a quick fix, Greg was very thorough in explaining the issue and provided great advice.
