But as your Tempstar AC unit ages, small issues may require your troubleshooting skills will eventually pop up (especially when it comes to maintenance). Here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot your Tempstar air conditioner.
Firstly, make sure that it is receiving power and turning on. If you’re not getting any power, unplug your AC unit, reset the circuit and then plug the air conditioner back in. If it’s a central AC unit, reset the circuit it’s on. Next, go to your thermostat and ensure that it is set to cool to an appropriate temperature. If it’s still not cooling properly, keep reading.
Next, make sure the filter is clean. This ensures that dirt and debris don’t clog the unit and that it is sending clean air throughout your home. This is especially important in the summer when allergy season hits. To change the filter, go to the indoor component and open the front panel where you will find the filter. Holding onto the filter tab, lift and pull the filter towards you. Clean it with a vacuum or soap and water if you have a reusable filter, or replace the filter with a new one.

We are very happy to recommend this company to everyone. Our furnace broke down on Sunday morning. We phoned them and before noon Grant the owner showed up. He worked on the furnace for about a hour not wanting to give up to fix the problem. The furnace was 17 years old. I was the one talking about replacing it. End result was the next day it was all done. On the Sunday Bob came over with heaters to warm up the house. We decided to replace the water heater at the same time. TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all! I did not need a new furnace. TwinTech did not push to make an unnecessary sale and saved me from a huge expense. Bob and Mitch were extremely professional and above all honest!
