Keeprite is a popular furnace brand for gas furnaces. They have three lines: the Performance (or value) series, the QuietComfort (or standard) series, and their reputable Ion (or premium) series. If your Keeprite Furnace is giving your trouble, then don’t fret! Instead of getting it replaced, try these simple Keeprite Furnace Troubleshooting steps to fix common issues.
If the furnace is not heating properly, the issue could be with your power. Check and reset the circuit/fuse that the appliance is on to restore power. If the unit has power but still isn’t keeping you warm, then check to make sure the igniter isn’t cracked. If it is then replace it, but if not you can use a multimeter to check for continuity.
Another reason it might not be heating, or that it might be cycling irregularly is because of the thermostat. Make sure you’ve set your thermostat correctly and that the adjustable calibration scale is set upright. Refer to the manual on how to program the thermostat in the best way.
If the furnace isn’t blowing any air, then make sure your blower motor is getting power and working correctly. If it is working properly, then the culprit could be the connecting belt has likely failed and will need replacing. On the other hand, if the furnace is blowing too much air, then the control board is mistakenly sending constant voltage to the motor and will need replacing to regulate the cycle.

We are very happy to recommend this company to everyone. Our furnace broke down on Sunday morning. We phoned them and before noon Grant the owner showed up. He worked on the furnace for about a hour not wanting to give up to fix the problem. The furnace was 17 years old. I was the one talking about replacing it. End result was the next day it was all done. On the Sunday Bob came over with heaters to warm up the house. We decided to replace the water heater at the same time. TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all!
