How do Water Heaters Work?

Have you ever wondered how a water heater works? How does it heat the water in your home and make your showers warm? At Twintech Heating & Cooling, we carry two types of water heaters: tank and tankless heaters.
A tank water heater works by collecting cold water from the bottom of the unit. The collected water is heated either by a gas flame or an electricity source. Then, the water is stored as needed. When hot water is needed, the heater sends water through your home’s hot water supply pipes and to the faucet or appliance. When the levels in the water tank drop, it will automatically start to refill and heat again.
Tankless water heaters work slightly differently than tank heaters. The cold water is not stored but drawn directly into the unit where a sensor is activated. The sensor activates a gas-fired burner or electricity source, which is then used to heat the water. After the water is heated, it travels directly towards the faucet or appliance.
Tankless water heaters are beneficial for homeowners who want compact and energy-efficient devices, that can supply an unlimited amount of hot water, heated on demand. These types of water heaters are perfect for large families and can last longer than tank heaters.

I have known Greg and Grant Dainty for many years and have used their company for my house and business.
