Gas fireplaces are also known to be safer than wood-burning, as they do not create sparks or release dangerous fumes or particles into the air. Regular maintenance and check-ups are essential for a smooth-running gas fireplace. In order to clean the glass, place a small amount of cleaner on a dry cloth and move the cloth in a circular motion; remove any excess solution with another dry cloth. You should only use fireplace glass cleaner for cleaning the unit, as regular glass cleaners like Windex contain ammonia-based chemicals which could damage the glass. The next day he came to the house to review my needs and give me a price for a new system. Price quoted was less than I expected and the installation was completed the following day.
