What Do AC Error Codes Mean?

Air conditioning (AC) units can display error codes when something goes wrong. These codes are specific to the manufacturer and model of the AC unit, but here are some general explanations for common AC error codes:


General AC Error Codes

  1. E1/E2/E3/E4: These codes often indicate issues with sensors:


    • E1: Room temperature sensor error.
    • E2: Indoor coil sensor error.
    • E3: Indoor fan speed malfunction.
    • E4: Outdoor coil sensor error.
  2. F1/F2/F3: These codes are usually related to the frequency drive or the main control board.

I don’t usually right reviews but when you receive service like this I felt it was a must. Honest and fair. I Have 4 children and on Xmas eve my furnace stopped working and a gentleman came out and got me up and running so at least we would have heat for the holidays. As promised he would replace my furnace early in the new year. The job was completed on time, great price for quality furnace and extremely clean and professional job. Would have never known anyone was in the house. Not a spec of dust or mess from lugging out an old rusty furnace. If you have any ac or heating concerns twintech is your only option. I was royally impressed with and I’m sure you will be too.

This Company is terrific. No high pressure sales and they deliver exactly what they promise to deliver. The new furnace is great and we now get consistent temperatures throughout the house. The installers were great and very efficient and completed the work on schedule on the promised day. Everyone representing this company was very aware of their presence in our house and worked diligently to keep our home as uninterrupted and as clean as was humanly possible. We did not need to go around the house to clean up after they left, what a nice surprise. We have had follow up by the company to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. The entire process was prompt and professional, from the initial quote to the installation of the new furnace. The team installed the new furnace and removed the old one in approx. 4 hrs. From the initial contact we had an excellent experience with this company and all its personnel. Dave Gergley was an excellent, helpful, sales person and solicitous of our needs. He recommended only what was required and did not up sell or make any suggestions for products that we did not need, such as a new A.C. He explained the rebate process and basically outlined how to get the best furnace at the lowest price. When it was time for installation, the technicians could not have been more considerate, careful, attentive to detail, obviously committed to safety and optimum functioning of the appliance they were setting up. We have been perfectly satisfied with the functioning of the furnace and all aspects of acquiring it from the initial contact with Dave through to the installation process and follow ups inquiring about our satisfaction. Also they initiated the rebate process and contacted the appropriate inspection agency to carry it out. We highly recommend this company for all heating and cooling needs and we will contact them again when it is time to replace our A.C.

Twintech was excellent from the initial quote and throughout the install. They had a competitive rate for hot water tank and ended up buying the tank from them, had them remove the old tank and install the new one. The day of install they were prompt and out in about 2 hours. Professional , courteous really great guys. We took a look at my 30 year old furnace and they were able to offer some suggestions for future there too.
