If you are looking into buying a new furnace, you should consider a few things before making your purchase, system type, ductwork, size, brand, and, of course, price.
When looking at system types, there are three different types you will come across, single-stage, two-stage, and modulating.
A single-stage furnace only has one setting, which is high heat. No matter the temperature outside, they will run at full capacity until the thermostat is turned off.
A two-stage furnace has two settings, high and low. This system will start at the low heat and then gradually work up to the high heat. Controlling this type of system requires a two-stage thermostat. They are considered more energy efficient than single-stage because they don't always run at full capacity.
Modulating Furnaces increases heat in increments to maintain a constant temperature. They are more expensive than single-stage and two-stage but are energy efficient because the ductwork stores the heat.
When buying a furnace, you want to think about your ductwork. If you are replacing your furnace, it's probably a good idea to have your ducts inspected for any signs of wear and tear, and it wouldn't hurt to have them cleaned.
Size also matters when purchasing a furnace, as you want a suitable unit for your home. Smaller homes do not require large units to do their job, and larger households need a larger unit so heat can reach all areas of the house.

A few days after install the unit didnt seem to be working, user error, but within minutes of contacting them..on a Saturday.. a tech was on the phone troubleshooting with us. During the hottest week in the summer our old A/C decided to call it quits. I called Twintech Heating & Cooling after receiving a referral from a family member; came highly rated for being an honest, family-run business, who appreciates their customers. Dave was able to accommodate my hectic schedule and book a late evening appointment to walk through the specifics. Greg and Mitch arrived exactly on time a few days later, were very polite and friendly, and within a couple of hours had a new unit up and running. Professionally done and took care to cover all entry floors to the house for the installers to remove the old furnace and install a new furnace.
I also made recommendations of the tankless water heater that we had installed and items to address. We did not know they also installed tankless water heaters.

Very clean work. Greg made sure that the refrigerant level & temperature were correct. They reinstall the insulation & vapor barrier around the wall. The outside electrical cords were secured to the wall. Proud to support this local company. Thank you.
