Below are some troubleshooting and maintenance tips to keep your AC unit happy for a long time.
Firstly, make sure that it is receiving power and turning on. If you’re not getting any power, unplug your AC unit, reset the circuit and then plug the air conditioner back in. If it’s a central AC unit, reset the circuit it’s on. Next, go to your thermostat and ensure that it is set to cool to an appropriate temperature.
Next, make sure the filter is new/clean. This ensures that dirt and debris don’t clog the unit and that it is sending clean air throughout your home. This is especially important in the summer and fall when pollen and other allergens are in the air. To change the filter, go to the indoor component and open the front panel where you will find the filter. Holding onto the filter tab, lift and pull the filter towards you. Depending on the type of filter you can either clean it with a vacuum or soap and water or throw it out and replace it with a new one.

TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all! I did not need a new furnace. TwinTech did not push to make an unnecessary sale and saved me from a huge expense. Bob and Mitch were extremely professional and above all honest! I definitely recommend TwinTech!

I called Twin Tech when my air conditioning stopped working. Greg came over to diagnose the issue - the same day. He was able to diagnose the issue and resolve it quite quickly. Although it was a quick fix, Greg was very thorough in explaining the issue and provided great advice. Twintech Heating & Cooling installed my furnace in 2022 and in fall of 2023 installed my Panasonic Heat Pump. Greg and Mitch did a great job. Helped me through the rebate process.
