Bryant is known for its gas furnaces which are tough and built to get you through anything winter throws at you. If your Bryant furnace starts giving you trouble though, there are some troubleshooting steps you can go through before reaching for your phone to call your HVAC tech.
Step 1: Check both the filters and return grilles. Make sure they are clean and free of debris. If the filter is dirty it will prevent your home from heating fully. It’s recommended to do this once a month or as needed. If you have a thicker (2”) and a wider filter, those can be changed every other month (6 times a year). Next check to make sure the air returns aren’t covered by anything, particularly large pieces of furniture.
Step 2: Check to make sure the thermostat is set to “Heat”. If you’re unsure of how to do this, or still aren’t getting the climate you want, refer to the manual to get the settings you want.
Step 3: Check to make sure that you have power running to the furnace (on your electrical panel). Also, check the SSU switch (it’s a switch on a gray box located around the furnace) and make sure it’s turned on.
If you’re still not having any luck with your furnace after going through these steps, don’t worry! You’ve done everything you can but your HVAC technician will be able to find the issue without a problem.

We are very happy to recommend this company to everyone. Our furnace broke down on Sunday morning. We phoned them and before noon Grant the owner showed up. He worked on the furnace for about a hour not wanting to give up to fix the problem. The furnace was 17 years old. I was the one talking about replacing it. End result was the next day it was all done. On the Sunday Bob came over with heaters to warm up the house. We decided to replace the water heater at the same time. TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all!
