Furnace Installation: The Basics You Need to Know

If you are planning on having a new furnace installed, then you should know beforehand that it is a big job. If you are planning on installing your new furnace on your own – trust us, DO NOT DO IT. You need to make sure that the installation job is done right, so work only with trusted HVAC experts like the ones we have here in Twintech Heating and Cooling. You do not want to waste time, energy, and money by trying to do it by yourself.

Proper furnace installation is of utmost importance if you want to help your new equipment to perform as efficiently as it should, offer labeled efficiency ratings, and to deliver years of warmth.

Choosing the Right HVAC Contractor
Furnace installation should always be done by a licensed and qualified HVAC professional. Your furnace is a complex mechanical system, and this is why it is never a great idea to install it by yourself. Working with a qualified contractor, however, lets you protect your investment. A licensed contractor offers expert furnace installation services, so your new heating system will perform as efficiently as it should.

Knowing the Cost of Furnace Installation
When you get a quote from a licensed HVAC contractor for furnace installation services, it should include the actual cost of the furnace as well as the total cost of having it installed. The total cost may vary due to different factors such as fuel type or features as well as the factors that have to do with the whole installation. In some cases, there is additional work for the contractor such as installing custom ductwork.

Preparing for the Actual Installation
While homeowners should not attempt to install the furnace on their own, there are still some things that can be done in preparation for the furnace installation. For instance, finding a quality furnace installer, investigating equipment options, and getting your home ready for the installation, to name a few.

Common Concerns for Furnace Installation
Installing a new furnace is something that homeowners will likely do a few times over the years. This will depend on the length of time that the furnace was used and other factors. If you have never had to have a furnace installed in your home, do not hesitate to call us today and ask us for any concerns you might have!

We were so pleased with their service

When our old oil furnace finally broke down we decided it was time to finally convert to natural gas and finally install central air conditioning at the same time. Knowing it was going to be a significant investment for us, we wanted to make the right choice. Twintech came highly recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. From the first contact with the salesperson, until the final touches on the installation, we were so pleased with their service. Everyone from the company was so friendly, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Best of all, the cost was very competitive. We would certainly recommend Twintech to anyone requiring HVAC work in their home.

Within a couple of hours, we had a new unit up and running!

During the hottest week in the summer our old A/C decided to call it quits. I called Twintech Heating & Cooling after receiving a referral from a family member; came highly rated for being an honest, family-run business, who appreciates their customers. Dave was able to accommodate my hectic schedule and book a late evening appointment to walk through the specifics. Greg and Mitch arrived exactly on time a few days later, were very polite and friendly, and within a couple of hours had a new unit up and running. I also received a follow-up call to ensure we were happy with the Amana.

Professionally done and took care to cover all entry floors

Professionally done and took care to cover all entry floors to the house for the installers to remove the old furnace and install a new furnace.
I also made recommendations of the tankless water heater that we had installed and items to address. We did not know they also installed tankless water heaters.

Proud to support this local company

Price was not the cheapest nor the most expensive of my quotes. It's the quality of the installation that makes for a good AC system. The twins' knowledge & professionalism was evident in the small details:
Very clean work. Greg made sure that the refrigerant level & temperature were correct. They reinstall the insulation & vapor barrier around the wall. The outside electrical cords were secured to the wall. Proud to support this local company. Thank you.

The air conditioner works great and is so quiet. I highly recommend them and they don't try to up-sell anything right from the start.
