If you have a MRCOOL furnace and are experiencing some minor hiccups/issues with it, try these few troubleshooting tips.
First, check your filters. Clogged filters can do long-term damage if they are left unclean because the system becomes backed up. It will also send dirty air around your home which is bad especially if you have sensitive allergies. If you have a disposable filter then replace it with the proper size and if you have a permanent one, wash it with soap and water, rinse it thoroughly and let it dry all the way before putting it back.
Another reason it might not be heating could be an issue with the thermostat. Make sure you’ve set your thermostat correctly and that the adjustable calibration scale is set up right. If it’s set correctly it could be a software issue.
Lastly, if your furnace isn’t turning on, then the issue is likely with the power. Go to your circuit board and make sure the fuses aren’t cracked or blown. If it’s blown, replace it but otherwise resetting the circuit should do the trick.

We are very happy to recommend this company to everyone. Our furnace broke down on Sunday morning. We phoned them and before noon Grant the owner showed up. He worked on the furnace for about a hour not wanting to give up to fix the problem. The furnace was 17 years old. I was the one talking about replacing it. End result was the next day it was all done. On the Sunday Bob came over with heaters to warm up the house. We decided to replace the water heater at the same time. TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all! I did not need a new furnace. TwinTech did not push to make an unnecessary sale and saved me from a huge expense. Bob and Mitch were extremely professional and above all honest!
