Why is My Heat Pump Leaking?

- If there is a refrigerant leak in the system, it could result in water accumulation around the heat pump. Refrigerant leaks can be a serious issue and should be addressed by a qualified HVAC technician.

- In colder weather, the evaporator coil may freeze, causing excess water to leak when it thaws. This can happen if there's insufficient airflow, a dirty air filter, or a malfunctioning defrost control.
