If you suspect your AC unit is malfunctioning, here are some common signs to watch for:
1. Weak or Warm Airflow
- If your AC is blowing warm or weak air, it might indicate an issue with the compressor or a refrigerant leak.
2. Unusual Noises
- Banging, clanking, or squealing noises could point to a mechanical problem. Hissing sounds might indicate a refrigerant leak.
3. Foul Odors
- A musty smell could signal mold growth in the unit, while a burning smell could indicate an electrical issue.
4. Frequent Cycling
- If your AC turns on and off more frequently than usual, it could be due to a malfunctioning thermostat or a problem with the electrical components.
5. High Humidity Levels
- Your AC should dehumidify the air. If your home feels more humid than usual, the unit might not be working correctly.
6. Water Leaks
- Puddles of water around your AC unit or excessive moisture could mean there's a problem with the drain tube or a refrigerant issue.
7. Rising Energy Bills

I have known Greg and Grant Dainty for many years and have used their company for my house and business. Greg and Grant arrived at my home and provided me with an estimate and a plan as to how they were going to remove and replace my furnace and air conditioner. On the day of install Greg and Grant arrived at my home on time and were very professional and extremely courteous as to any questions or concerns that I had. The removal and install was truly professional and the attention to detail was exactly what I was looking for. Ive seen many installs from other contractors and I couldnt be any happier to have had such a clean looking install. The sheet metal work, ducting and venting all look fantastic. My old furnace had finally broken down for the last time when contacted twintech to have a new furnace installed They were prompt, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. They did such a great job i tell all my friends and family about this company.
