Spring is only a few days away and what better way to commemorate its arrival than by cleaning! Nothing says a fresh start faster than a thoroughly cleaned home. Being prepared is key in accomplishing this seemingly daunting task with ease. Make sure to have all the supplies you need and dedicate a whole day (or two) to make sure you don’t leave any stone unturned.
Below are some spring-cleaning tips you should know before tackling this great undertaking. Whip out a pen and paper and prepare to take notes as we share some of the best spring-cleaning tips you’ll ever find.
Make sure to have all the supplies you need.
Making sure you have all the important tools you’ll need makes spring-cleaning a whole lot easier. Double check all the supplies you have and make sure to have everything you need.
There’s more to cleaning supplies than you think. Make sure to have EVERYTHING you need from the broom to wash cloths to a functioning vacuum to make this task a whole lot easier to accomplish.
Wear comfortable clothes.
When undertaking such a huge task such as spring-cleaning, make sure to wear the right clothes. Wear something breathable and something that allows you to move freely.
Make sure to have protective gloves, an apron (preferably with pockets) and the right type of footwear – for your own safety and convenience.
Start from the top and work your way down.
When cleaning, make sure to start at high reaching areas and work your way down. Starting with high-reaching areas allow for the dust to fall off to the floor where you can catch them later on.
Doing this process in reverse (starting from the floor and working your way up) will waste a whole lot of time because you’ll need to sweep the floor twice after all the dust settles from those high reaching areas.
Don’t neglect your carpet and upholstery
These warm home additions have served you well all winter long and deserve a bit more TLC. Spot clean stains or hire a professional who can give your rugs, carpets and upholstery a proper deep clean.
Seal your floor
Your hardwood floor deserves your attention, too. Buy a floor sealer from your local hardware store and apply it according to the label instructions and breathe new life into your winter-beaten floor.

He worked on the furnace for about a hour not wanting to give up to fix the problem. The furnace was 17 years old. I was the one talking about replacing it. TwinTech is an excellent and honest company! I called them for a second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace my furnace. Turns out this was not the case at all! I did not need a new furnace. TwinTech did not push to make an unnecessary sale and saved me from a huge expense. Bob and Mitch were extremely professional and above all honest! I called Twin Tech when my air conditioning stopped working. Greg came over to diagnose the issue - the same day. He was able to diagnose the issue and resolve it quite quickly. Although it was a quick fix, Greg was very thorough in explaining the issue and provided great advice.
