I have a maintenance inspecton for furnace - AC tomorrow What should I be wary of?
My fiancée and I moved into our home roughly two years ago and have not had the furnace or AC inspected.
Both of these units seem to be working fine.
In the winter, the furnace is quick to heat up our home.
In the summer, the AC works a bit harder to cool the home, but we live in an attached townhome on either side that seems to insulate lots of heat.
We haven't really been uncomfortable as far as heating or cooling the home goes, but I have no idea if the previous owners ever had the furnace or AC units inspected.
We've never really had any problems with the units.
I recently called for a maintenance visit because we hadn't had them inspected since moving in.
The house was built about 8-9 years ago and I think the furnace / AC are the original units in the home.
Is there anything I should be wary of as far as the maintenance goes? Anything that companies tend to try to sell or be pushy about? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Answer:
It's great that you're thinking about getting your furnace and AC inspected after two years of use.
Regular maintenance can help extend the lifespan of your units and prevent potential problems down the line.
When you schedule your maintenance visit, be sure to ask the company what their inspection will include.
Generally, a thorough inspection should include checking the filters, cleaning the units, checking the thermostat, and inspecting the electrical and mechanical components.
Be wary of companies that try to sell you on unnecessary services or upgrades during the visit.
Some companies may try to pressure you into buying new equipment or expensive add-ons that you may not need.
If you're not sure whether a particular service is necessary, ask for a detailed explanation of why it's recommended and what the benefits are.
It's also a good idea to get quotes from a few different companies to compare prices and services.
Look for a company that is licensed, insured, and has good customer reviews.
Overall, getting your furnace and AC inspected regularly is a smart move, and it's better to catch any potential problems early before they turn into bigger and more costly issues.
My old furnace had finally broken down for the last time when contacted twintech to have a new furnace installed They were prompt, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. They did such a great job i tell all my friends and family about this company.
To whom it may concern, I recently had TwinTech (Greg and Grant Dainty) replace my furnace and service both my gas fireplaces and air conditioning unit. My Fiancé and I have relied on Twintech Heating and Cooling now for the better part of the last 10 years. In that time, Greg has installed a furnace, an air conditioner, and a heat-pump at our residence in Toronto. In each instance Greg and his team were a pleasure to deal with. They were courteous and professional throughout the whole process and the quality of their work is first rate. Our experiences have always been extremely positive and we have referred his services numerous times to our friends and family. Without hesitation, I would recommend Greg and TwinTech Heating and Cooling to anyone looking to service or replace their existing heat/AC equipment
